Учебник: Spotlight 9 ("Английский в фокусе 9") учебник для общеобразовательных учреждений.
Оборудование: тетради, доска, мультимедийный проектор, компьютер, экран, карточки с заданиями.
Greeting (Приветствие)
- How are you today? Who is absent? Are you in a good mood today?
- Look at the screen and guess what the topic of our lesson is. What are we going to do?
- What did we discuss during last lessons?
- What types of art do you know?
- What type of art wasn’t mentioned in details during our classes?
- Look at the pictures. Tell me please, what literary works are presented through these pictures?
- Who knows the author/writer of these stories?
- So what is the topic of the lesson?
- What is the aim of the lesson?
- You have the sheets of paper on your desks.
- The definitions to these words are written there.
- Try to find the correct definition and translate the word into Russian.

- You can see the text on the screen.
- But some messages are empty. Listen to some additional facts about Shakespeare’s life and fill the gaps.
- As we have heard, Shakespeare’s writing is he 2nd most quoted after the Bible: "To be, or not to be; that is the question".
- This quotation is known to everybody, but there are a lot of other famous quotations and interesting expressions from Shakespeare’s plays.
- Let’s jigsaw parts of his other quotation and translate them.
- Which proverb suits our lesson best of all?
