Конспект урока английского языка в 11 классе "Water pollution"

УМК: "Английский в фокусе" (Афанасьева О.В., Дули Д., Эванс В. и др.)

Цель урока: рассмотреть пути загрязнения водных ресурсов и предложить способы решения этой проблемы.

Задачи:

• закрепить изученный лексический и грамматический материал путем выполнения тренировочных упражнений;
• создать условия для совершенствования навыков аудирования, чтения, письма и говорения через использование различных видов тренировочных упражнений;
• способствовать развитию творческого потенциала учащихся через создание мини-проекта.

Оборудование: учебник, ПК, проектор, раздаточный материал (карточки – опоры для групповой, парной работы, карточки для само- и взаимоконтроля)

Ход урока

Организационный этап

Ученики делятся на группы по принципу "Make your team", создавая группу по цепочке.
T: Good morning, children! Nice to meet you! (Good morning! Nice to meet you too!)
Let`s make 2 groups.

Eva, choose your partner. And he/she will choose his/her partner etc. Make Group 1.
Sofiya, do the same. Make Group 2 Before working let`s say each other compliments. They help you be more positive and in good mood. (Учащиеся говорят друг другу комплименты, используя опоры при необходимости)

Мотивация учебной деятельности учащихся

T: You remember that we study the topic connected with man`s health i.e. illnesses, what else? (На экране слайд)

1. You`ve got some diseases…
2. You can have some injuries…

T: And many of them are connected with environmental problems. (учащиеся называют лексику, связанную с проблемами здоровья человека)

Постановка цели и задач урока

T: Look at the picture! What do you think the name of the lesson is? (We are going to speak about Water Pollution)
Open your books, p. 79. What are you going to do at the lesson today? (звучивают предполагаемые задачи урока)
And what skills are you going to develop? (Ответы учащихся)

T: How right you are! We are going to develop.

1. listening skills;
2. reading skills;
3. speaking skills;
4. writing skills;
5. to work in groups;
6. to discuss the environmental problem;
7. learn new vocabulary.

Основная часть урока

Закрепление знаний и умений в знакомой ситуации

T: Have you ever thought about children in Africa who die because a big part of water has been polluted?
And they have to go many kilometers to collect drinking water?
What about you? Do you think about your future?

In what different ways do we pollute our water? (Учащиеся вспоминают фразовые единицы по категории "Environmental problem" через работу с картинками)

Look at our Fish. Let`s complete it! (Показывает на доске изображение рыбы. Используется прием «Fishbone»)
Open your books, p. 79 ex. 1.

T: Look at the pictures, read the labels to them, find out the ways we pollute our water and write them on the strips of paper! (читают надписи к картинкам, находят пути загрязнения воды и записывают их)

Work in pairs, please! Exchange your ideas and check.
Read, please!

T: Do we have such problems in our city? How should we protect water in Biysk? (отвечают на вопросы, связанные с проблемой загрязнения воды в их городе и высказывают свое мнение)

Закрепление знаний и умений в измененной ситуации

T: Now I want you to work in the Net and find some real facts of water pollution in the world.
Write your info on the strips of paper.
Use this link: "25 shocking facts about WP"

T: Read your info found, please! (Учащиеся работают с гаджетами, выискивая дополнительную информацию в интернете, записывают, зачитывают и закрепляют на доске (плавники внизу)

What is the conclusion? (We must minimize water pollution)

Let`s work with the text ex. 2 p. 79. But first some minutes for relax.

T: Go to the blackboard! Take the letters! The task is Make the phrase related to the topic of the lesson, using these letters. (составляют фразу по теме, выстраиваясь в порядке букв в словосочетании Работа в группе способствует сотрудничеству учащихся друг с другом)

Творческое применение знаний и умений в новой ситуации

Работа с кластером

1. T: Are you ready to work with the text?
First, listen to the text, read it and check.

2. Suggest ways that we can minimize water pollution.
At the same time P1, P2 and P3 - translate the words in bold from the text. (см. приложение)
After that do the exercises, exchange them and check each other. (см. приложение)

Заключительный этап

T: Dear leaders! I`d like to listen to your opinions about water pollution, use ex. 3 p. 79. (Учащиеся строят монологическое высказывание, опираясь на план в упражнении)

Домашнее задание

T: Your home task: Revise the words, do ex. 4 p.79, write 50 words following the plan in ex. 3.

Рефлексия. Подведение итогов занятия

T: Today we`ve discussed a very relevant problem. Let`s summarize the results of the lesson.
Name some new words you remember please.
Name one of the real facts of water pollution found in the Net.
