Конспект урока по теме "Animals in Danger" с презентацией для учащихся 11 класса

Цель урока английского языка с презентацией: учащиеся 11 класса смогут назвать основные экологические проблемы, которые влияют на исчезновение животных, использую новые лексические единицы урока по теме "Animals in Danger".

Задачи:

  • создать условия для повторения основных слов по теме "Экологические проблемы" и активное их использование, а также условия для развития умения поиска и отбора необходимой информации.
  • создать условия для установления причинно-следственных связей у учащихся по вопросу экологических проблем; способствовать появлению обеспокоенности экологической ситуацией;
  • показать важность ответственного и бережного отношение к природе, сформировать желания помочь природе.

Оборудование: учебник "Английский язык 11 класс" Юхнель Н. В., Наумова Е. Г., ноутбук или компьютер 1 на двоих учащихся, распечатанные приложения в количестве 1 на двоих учащихся, экран или доска для демонстрации видео и презентации, колонки.

Ход урока

Организационно-мотивационный этап. Введение в атмосферу иноязычного общения

Before we begin to speak and discuss the issues of our today's lesson, let's switch on your abilities of searching the words connected with the environment. I'll give you these copies with word clouds where the words are mixed. Your task is to find the environmental issues among them. One by one, let's find and name them. (приложение 1, слайд 2)

Dear friends, Look at the blackboard, please. There are some words, names, numbers and pictures connected with the topic of our today's lesson. How do you think about what we are going to speak? (на доске распечатаны слова, цифры, имена и картинки) (a plastic ocean, 8 million, hunting, Ricky Gervais, WWF) (приложение 2)

The topic of our lesson is "Animals in Danger". We will discuss many important problems connected with our topic. The aims of our lesson are to develop our skills of speaking on the topic "Animals in Danger", to bring up the understanding of ecological situation in the world. The tasks for today's lesson are:

  1. To find necessary information;
  2. To revise words on our topic;
  3. To define and discuss the ways of solving the problems of animal extinction. (слайд 3)

We will watch the video about A Plastic ocean, after watching we'll discuss this problem and do some exercises. Then we'll get acquainted with Ricky Gervais and his animal rights activities through his Tweets. By the end of the lesson you'll make a list of "The reasons for animal extinction".

Before we watch a video, let's refresh our knowledge about the main ecological terms connected with our topic. Let's name once again the environmental issues, give them definitions and define the reasons, consequences of these problems and your solutions. We are going to do it in pairs. Choose one of mentioned above in word cloud ecological issues and prepare a short report.

You can use the presentation on computers that we have done at our previous lessons. (слайды 4-31) (Дети работают с презентацией, которую создавали на протяжении предыдущих уроков, а раздел про животных, предполагается заполнить дома по уже наработанному образцу)

We are going to watch a trailer of a new documentary that looks at the problem which are caused when plastic waste goes into the sea. After listening tell me, please, how can plastic be dangerous to sea animals and human health? (приложение 4)

Look through the questions in exercise 1 and possible answers, we'll watch video once again and after that we'll mark the corrects answers. We are watching video "A Plastic Ocean" once again. Do exercise 1.

- We have discussed the problem of "A Plastic Ocean". I think it's time to find out who is Mr Gervais. (hot_english_magazine_2016_167 – 15 р.)

Look at the slide, please. Let me introduce this man. (слайд 34) He is Ricky Gervais, an English comedian, actor, director, producer, writer and musician. He is also an animal rights activist. (слайд 35)

And he regularly uses Twitter to share his views. Now we are going to listen a few of them and you can follow in your copies. While listening, please, mark about what problem she is talking about. You can look through these problems in exercise 1. Let's listen and you can follow in your copies. (приложение 5)

Deforestation, air, water and land pollution, hunting, animal testing. Dear boys and girls! Thank you very much for your preparation and your activity at the lesson. I was greatly impressed with your answers. Let's return to the pictures with words, numbers, names. I think now we are ready to tell us about each point.

So you can see that we haven't discussed the last picture. All ecological problems are interdependent as our lessons on this topic are. We are going to discuss this point at our next lesson.

And an additional task for "10" is to complete the presentation with the facts that we have learnt about animals in danger. (слайд 36)
