T: Why does he do it? What does he feel that he achieves?

P1: Jacob does volunteering at a retirement home for many reasons. First of all, he wants to change the world for the better. Secondly, Jacob always gets wise advice from the elderly. And he knows he wouldn't have got them anywhere else. Finally, he likes chatting with people, reading to them, telling them some jokes and just making their faces light up.

P2: It makes him feel really great to know that he is giving something that makes other people happy.

P1: Action - Walk or use public transport on your way to school/work. (Гулять или использовать общественный транспорт, чтобы добраться до школы/работы).

Why? - You'll not waste energy/pollute the environment and you'll get fit at the same time. (Вы не будете тратить энергию/загрязнять окружающую среду и будете поддерживать свою форму в то же время).
P2: Action - Plant one tree each. (Каждому посадить одно дерево).

Why? - Trees help combat pollution, are a home to animals/birds and are attractive to look at. (Деревья помогают в борьбе с загрязнением, являются домом для животных/птиц и привлекательны на вид).

A: I would definitely spend time with people from different generations because it will cheer me up and even change the way I behave.
В: Yes, me too. I think it would possibly be interesting for people of different ages to share their experiences with each other. Well, I would definitely become an international volunteer as I like socializing with other people and making them happy.
С: Great idea! But I'm a very shy person so it's not my kind of thing.

A: You know, there are a lot of careless people who continue scattering their trash around though they know that littering is a negative thing. As for me, I would definitely not litter the streets because rubbish costs millions to clean up.
В: You are right. I would possibly throw my rubbish in the bin. And what do you think about Fair Trade Products.
C: I would definitely buy them since produces must get fair prices for their goods.
