План-конспект урока английского языка в 7 классе "Halloween"

Цель урока: познакомить учащихся с праздником Halloween, с его традициями и историей.


  • повысить мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка;
  • воспитывать толерантное отношение к культуре англоязычных стран;
  • расширить рецептивный словарь, совершенствовать речевые навыки и умения;
  • овладеть новыми страноведческими знаниями.

Ход урока

Введение в ситуацию урока

Учащиеся заходят в кабинет. Окна завешаны, звучит песня "Panic! – This is Halloween". Кабинет оформлен в стиле праздника Halloween.
Музыка заканчивается, учитель читает стихотворение.

Tonight is the night
When dead leaves fly
Like witches on switches

Across the sky,
When elf and sprite
Flit through the night
On a moony sheen.

Tonight is the night
When leaves make a sound
Like a gnome in his home
Under the ground,

When spooks and trolls
Creep out of holes
Mossy and green.

When pumpkins stare

When ghouls and ghost

It's Halloween.

- Good afternoon, dear children. Make yourself comfortable. And we begin our Halloween-party.
- What day is it today? (Учащиеся отвечают)

- You can do it in pairs or trios.

Учащиеся в микрогруппах выполняют задания викторины.
Учитель сознательно включает в викторину вопросы, на которые учащиеся не знают ответа. Возникает проблемная ситуация.

I want to tell you about my attitude to Halloween. It’s very popular today to celebrate this day in Russia. In schools and universities Halloween parties take place every year. Children and teenagers wear scary costumes, make lanterns of pumpkins. But as for me I hate this holiday. To celebrate this holiday?

No way! We have so many wonderful festivals in our country - Trinity, New Year, Pancake week, Victory day and others. We don’t need such holidays as Halloween and St. Valentine’s Day. But it’s only my opinion. My classmates and friends don’t agree with me.

Thank you for your attention and your work. Today we have learnt some more facts about American traditions and Halloween.
